a-ha Konzert in Stuttgart (a-ha in concert at Stuttgart)

Etwas mehr als fünf Jahre nachdem sich a-ha getrennt haben durften wir in Stuttgart ein wundervolles Konzert dieser einmaligen Popband erleben. Sie spielten ihre alten alten Hits und neuen Songs und konnten mit ihrem Gespür für Musik überzeugen, so dass dieses Konzert zum Erlebnis wurde. Zum Glück für alle ihre Fans haben sie sich wieder zusammengefunden und machen wieder gemeinsam Musik. 
A little more than five years after a-ha split we were lucky to visit a wonderful concert of this unique pop band at Stuttgart. They played their old old hits and new songs and were able to convince her ear for music, so this concert was really a experience. Fortunately for all of their fans they have come together again for making music.

Starlight Express Musical in Bochum (Germany)

Sehr rasant mit atembearubenden Stunts gespickt ist das Musical "Starlight Express" in Bochum. Die Darsteller müssen nicht nur singen und tanzen können, sondern auch das Rollschuhlaufen perfekt beherrschen. Als Zuschauer sitzt man genau mittendrin und sieht die "Loks" nur so an sich vorbeirauschen. Leider war es erst am Ende beim Applaus erlaubt ein paar Fotos zu machen. Die anderen Fotos stammen vom Zug vor der Musical-Halle.

Letzte Woche haben wir in Stuttgart das Konzert von Caro Emerald besucht. Ihre fantastische Stimme, die tollen Songs und ihre großartige Performance machten diesen Abend zu einem wahren Erlebnis.

Zauberhafte Geburtstagstorten (Magical Birthday Cakes)

Vor Kurzem hatte der Sohn unserer Bekannten Geburtstag. Zu seinem 3. Geburtstag erhielt er nicht nur allerhand Geschenke, sondern auch drei sehr kunstvoll erstellte Torten. Seine Mutter und sein Opa hatten sich schwer ins Zeug gelegt und wirklich sehr aufwändige Torten gebacken. Aufgrund der sehr großen Hitze an diesem Tag blieb jedoch viel von den Torten übrig. Aber auch am nächsten Tag haben sie bestimmt noch ausgezeichnet geschmeckt.
Recently the son of our friends had his birthday. For his third Birthday, he received not only all kinds of gifts, but also three very artfully created pies. His mother and grandfather had flat out hard and really extravagant baked pies. Due to the very large heat on this day, however much of the pie was left. But the next day they have tasted certainly still excellent.

Christmas market

In thousands of towns and villages are currently being held Christmas markets. In the bitter cold and the snow we have today visited one to take a little Christmas cheer with on.
The mulled wine can not be missed.

Experience food on Krk (Croatia)

During our stay in Krk we visited this time again the rustic restaurant "Tri Maruna" in Poljica. How small it looks from the outside, but the dining experience is so unique in this restaurant. Upon entering the restaurant is like being transported back in time. The walls and ceilings are covered with ancient traditional tools and everyday objects. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is extraordinary friendly. The dishes are prepared fresh and taste really delicious. Also got it's bitters for appetite stimulation to.The "fog" on the first image comes from the smoke of the wood stove in the restaurant.

Baptism with culinary delights

Last weekend we were at the baptism of the child of a friend. We were allowed as guests savor the culinary delights of Italian cuisine, since parents have Italian roots. 

Highest art trail in Germany

Near "Bad Tölz" in Bavaria there are not only a lot of mountains which can be climbed, there is also the "Highest art trail of Germany". The "Kunstverein Tölzer Land" presents some sculputres and plastics which were designed to promote the understanding of the nature. We walked along this way and photographed some artwork. The trail starts at the end of the summit station of the Blombergbahn at 1237 m altitude.

Donaufest (festival of the Danube) in Ulm

At Ulm the Danube is achieving navigable. Every year there is a festival with all the countries through which the Danube flows. There are are a lot of activities and a Arts and Crafts Market with sellers and foods from the 10 countries (Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Romania, Croatia, Bulgaria, Moldova and the Ukraine) of the Danube.
The festival is on both sides of the river. For getting on the other side you can take the solar ferry.

The products which are sold at the market are usually handmade.

Esslingen: Christmas Market and more...

The very old and handsome city of Esslingen with its Christmas Market is really an ideal place for having some an entertaining time on a sunday afternoon.

During these weeks before Christmas Esslingen not only presents a Christmas Market. There also exists a Medieval Market. This combination of these two different markets is the biggest of its kind in southern Germany. Many handmade articles and a lot of very original things can be found by strolling across the market, for example this selection of spices...
