Trip to the North Cape - Part I: Tromso - Alta

This first part of the journey to the North Cape is a trip about 300 km excluding the two ferrys which have to be taken to pass two fjords. It is a trip through a spectatcular landscape with fantastic mountains, a lot of water and very nice bays. The following pictures show only an extract of this breathtaking beautiful nature.
The first "boattrip" is passing the "Ulfsfjorden" from "Breivikeidet" to "Svensby":

On the way to "Lyngseidet" you are passing these pretty landscapes.

On the way to "Olderdalen".

In "Storslett" a side trip to "Reisadalen" (valley) is really profitable.

Going on to the north the countryside is getting more and more meagre.

This direction sign was seen near the roadhouse "Fjellstua".

Where is Santa Claus?!? ;-)

The glacier "Oksfjordjokelen" should not be missed.

Tromso - Gate to the Arctic (Norway)

Tromso situated in the north of the polar circle is lightened for 24 hours these days. This pearl of the north has really some very nice attractions. The nature is really fantastic.

The most known building is the Ishavskatedralen (church).

There exist the possibility to go to the mountain "Storsteinen" by cable car. From there the panaramic view is really impressive.

The city centre of Tromso is also very interesting. There are a lot of typical and amazing buildings.

The Museum "Polaria" is one of the most informative museum about expeditions to the Artcic and Antarctic.

A emblem of Tromso: Tromsobrua (bridge)

Some very brave guys jumping into the cold water.

"Marina Protetta di Portofino" - diving experiences - Liguria (Italy)

Fantastic dive sides, thousands of fishes and wonderful nature can be found in the underwater natural park of Portofino. Diving there is really a great pleasure.

The dive side "Faro" (Punta Portofino): There were a lot of really very big groupers and some very handsome octopuses.

The dive side "Altare":

The dive side "Punta Vessinaro" with its inhabitants (for example morays)

The dive side "Secca Gonzatti" with millions of fishes in the deep blue.

Santa Margherita Ligure (Italy)

Santa Margherita is a very glamourous city for all these people with a lot of money. But not only these persons will pass a nice holiday in this beautiful small town. It is really a enjoyment to walk through the alleyways, promenade along the seaside or only sitting on a bench and watching the other people.

Walking through this lovely little town you will discover very nice places at nearly every corner.
