From the castle Laufen you there is a magnificent view of the Rhine.The castle is directly located at the Rhine Falls on a rock. This ancient castle was first mentioned in 858 AD. Today it houses a restaurant and a hostel. It also attracts a lot of tourists.
A lovely castle - and what stories it could tell if its walls could talk. I visited a number of castles along the Rhine many years ago, in Germany. My wife would really like to make a trip there one of these days.
