"Favorite Park" at Ludwigsburg

The castle "Favorite" and it`s park was created in the 18th Century as a "Summer Palace" for duke Eberhard Ludwig of Württemberg. In the 19th Century the park was transformed into a wildpark with chamoises and deers by King Friedrich I. of Württemberg. During the 20th Century the castle and the park were lapsed and not maintained. Only from the beginning 1980`s the castle was rediscovered as a really piece of jewelery. So it was renovated and today  the park is used as a place of regeneration for stressed metropolitans. Of course the little children have a lot of fun feeding the chamoises and the deers, because they are really tame.

 The deers by having "siesta".

"Fischerviertel" ("fishing district") in Ulm

The southern German city Ulm is above all known of the cathedral. But this is not the only point of interest of this really nice town. On the point where the river "Blau" ends into the Danube a very magical district called "Fischerviertel" is situated. The alleyways, the half-timbered houses, the little bridges and the twisty passages gives the "Fischerviertel" a reall homey atmosphere. It is one of the oldest districts of Ulm. Today there are are a lot of restaurants, bars and of course many historic buildings.

The next house is called "das schmale Haus" (the narrow house)...
