Morten Harket in Concert (Munich)

One of the most beautiful voices, Morten Harket, made during his tour a performance at munich. After the ending of a-ha he is touring and performing his new solo album. The show was really surprising and peppered with very known and nice songs of a-ha. He really presented a perfect mixture of old and new songs in a very homey atmosphere at the Kesselhaus in Munich.
This picture shows the very scenic location.

"Nolwenn Leroy" from Brittany was playing as opening act. She convinced with very nice Folk Rock.

Morten Harket's voice, the very beautiful new and all these incomparable old songs gave this concert a very special, a very magical atmosphere that should not be missed.

Spring...

It's one of the most beautiful times of the year. When the days are getting longer. When the winter retreats and with the cold time all is said and done. When the nature revives again in the warming sun and when the diversity of plants and their colors comes to the light again ...

Rosensteinmuseum in Stuttgart

The "Natural History Museum Rosenstein" is one of the oldest and most important of its kind in Europe. It is the home of a lot of exhibits of animals. But that is not the only focus it also shows the evolution, environmental protection and species protection. Furthermore it shows many habitats of the earth. The exponats are replicas or very old preperations (like the last wolf of Württemberg which was killed in 1847). We were very interestsd in the marine life. The following pictures shows models of a sperm whale and a white shark.

There is also a exhibition of very beautiful butterflys form all over the world.

This model of a mammoth child is part of the evolution exhibition.

Cortina d´Ampezzo (Dolomites, Italy)

Today Cortina d'Ampezzo is known as Olympic City of the 1956 Olympic Wintergames. This little town in the Dolomites has a really long tradition of wintersports. The ski club of Cortina was already founded in 1903, which means that it is the oldest one in Italy today. These days Cortina is particullarly a glamorous place where the Italian "Schickeria" is be seen and see. Walking at the shopping street "Corso Italia" it is really funny and strange to watch the people. Although Cortina has some really nice places in his town it seems a little bit soulless with all the shops for the rich people. Maybe the character of the old village of Cortina d`Ampezzo is missing in these decadent atmosphere.
On the way from Alta Badia to Cortina d'Ampezzo we were passing the rocks of the "Naturpark Fanes-Sennes-Prags" and the passes of Valparola and Falzarego.

For sorrow it was a little bit cloudy, so the panoramic view to Cortina was dimmed.

This house is the home of the Ethnographic Museum of Ampezzo.

Some impressions of the "Corso Italia".

In a hidden corner we found this gondola and this funny "devil".

The "Langkofel" (Sassolungo) the symbol of Wolkenstein (Selva) seems like smoking.

This funny cow of wood was seen near the "Col Rodella".

Sass Pordoi - On the top of the "Sella" (Dolomites, Italy)

Climbing the "Sass Pordoi" by gondola is a very good reason to leave the slopes of skiing around the "Sella". From the "Passo Pordoi" the "Sella" can be achieved in a view minutes. The view from the top is really wunderful. From the platform on the top you can see all the peaks of the Dolomites. Cliffs and mountains everywhere, one more spectacular than the other.

The "Piz Boe" (3151m) is the highest peak of the "Sella".

This picture of the "Sella" was found at the valley station of the gondola.
