"Siegestor München"

Built in the mid 19th century as a triumphal arch the Siegestor in munich warns today to live in peace. It also marks the ending of the Ludwigstraße and the beginning of the Leopoldstraße, which belongs to the district of "Schwabing". There you can find lots of pubs, shops, bars and very quaint restaurants. The following picture shows the "Siegestor" today in the snowy and cold winter atmosphere.

First signs of spring?

In these days of ending january  the request of feeling spring fever is escaping more and more... In the morning the birds are chirping, the days are getting slowly longer and the sun is getting stronger. Although the nature is still in his hibernation on sunny days like today the beginning of the spring seems not far away...

Skiing at Brandnertal - Vorarlberg (Austria)

"Small but beautiful" is the property of the ski area "Brandnertal" in Austria. The valley includes the communities of Brand, Bürs and Bürserberg. On sunny days the panorama is really worth seeing. The next picture was made during the ride with the chairlift "Melkboden".

During the ride with the "Panoramabahn" the view is really spectacular.

On the other side of the valley you can see the dam of the "Lünersee".

This funny "snowdevil" was seenat the "Loischkopf".

Some more impressions of snow, ice and mountains:

...and some impressions of the downhill.

Plage de Malendure - Bouillante (Guadeloupe)

Situated next to Bouillante at the "cote sous le vent" la plage de Malendure is one of these very beautiful beaches in Guadeloupe. Here a fantastic sunset is guaranteed and rainbows can be seen in contact hours. Furthermore there are a lot of possibilities for water sports, for special diving around the Pigeon Islands is really worthwhile. Non-divers will have much fun with the Glass Bottom Boat or by renting a kayak. If you are hungry you can try these very tastefully Chichi`s...and sometimes it is relaxing lying on the beach and doing nothing...

Tribute To Graffiti

They could be found almost everywhere, on walls of buildings, on trees, mailboxes and bus stops. People wanted and want to leave traces. It doesn't matter whether they are just symbols or entire artworks. Some are provocative to deal with conflicts on an artistic level, others are an expression of culture or joy and simplicity of life or just commercials.

Here is a very small collection of grafitties from this wonderful island:

Randonnee au bassin bleu - Guadeloupe

Having a walk through the tropical rainforest is one of these must have done in Guadeloupe.
We decided to have a trip to the “basin bleu”. It is situated next to the volcano “La Soufriere”.

First the way to our destination was really a little bit wet and muddy.

But the wunderful nature of the rainforest compensated these little imponderables.

Thirty minutes later we achieved the "bassin bleu".

All around there had been waterfalls. A really fantastic spectacular nature.

On our way back we noticed above all many very beautiful and nice flowers and plants, like this very big bloom of a bird-of-paradise flower and the big elephant ear.
