Truly a dish as unique view you have from the fortress Hohentwiel. It is one of the largest ruins of Germany and on a clear day you can see up to the Swiss Alps. In earlier times this Fortress was the residence of the Dukes. It survived the sieges in the Thirty Years' War. In the 18th Century a prison was located up here. At the beginning of the 19th Century the fortress was destroyed. Nowadays it is an attraction for tourists and celebrations.
