Roßbergturm (near Reutlingen)

Trotz des schlechten Wetters haben wir uns für eine kleine Wanderung auf der Schwäbischen Alb nach draußen gewagt. Der Aussichtsturm "Roßberg" bietet an schönen Tagen von einer Höhe von 869 m über dem Meeresspiegel eine wunderbare Fernsicht. Auch mit Bewölkung konnten  wir ein wenig von dieser Aussicht auf die Schwäbische Alb und die grüne Natur genießen.
Despite the bad weather we ventured for a walk on the Swabian Alb. The observation tower "Rossberg" offers on nice days a wonderful panoramic view from an altitude of 869 m above sea level. Even with cloud cover we could enjoy a little of this view of the Swabian Alb and the green nature.

 

Blüten im Dauerregen (Flowers in continuous rain)

Leider war in den letzten Tagen das Wetter sehr schlecht. Wir haben sehr kalte Tage und viel Regen. Trotzdem gibt es auch unter diesen widrigen Bedingungen zahlreiche Blumen, die nach der Sonne suchen.
Unfortunately, in the last few days the weather was very bad. We have very cold days and lots of rain. Nevertheless, there are also numerous flowers who search for the sun under these adverese conditions.

Bunte Frühlingswelt (Colorful spring world)

Wenn nach langer Winterzeit die Pflanzen beginnen zu erwachen, die Knospen aufbrechen und die Blüten ihre ganze Pracht entfalten, dann wird die Welt bunt und froh und zeigt ihr wahrlich wunderbares Antlitz.
When the plants begin to wake up after a long winter, break up the buds and the flowers unfold in all their glory, then the world becomes colorful and happy and truly shows her wonderful face.

Sun ... and plants (botanical garden Tübingen)

After the sun was seen rarely in the last days and the winter hardly still goes into extra time, it was a relief that the sun was shining today, finally. Unfortunately, it was pretty cold, but it was a priority for us once again see green plants. A botanical garden, like this one in Tübingen, is ideal to watch plants from all over the world. Outside, there were hardly flowering plants, but we found these two beautiful flowers.

 In the greenhouses, there was much more to look at flowers and blossoms such as this "Strelizie".

 

  Particularly green, the world appears in the tropical house.

 

Snow and snow and snow (Sella, Dolomites, Italy)

Once again we decided to spend the week before Easter in the snow to enjoy skiing. Unfortunately the weather has not shown its sunny side. But we have seen so much snow than ever this time of year in the Dolomites. This year, the winter will not come to an end. Around the Sella massif the snow was three feet high and the skiing was a pleasure even if it snowed sometimes and the fog was very persistant.
On the mountain passes, you felt like on the bobsled with the snow on both sides.

After it snowed the night the trees were full of the white stuff.

 

Luckily it turned out well in between times the sun and you could enjoy the beauty of the Dolomites.

 

Spring Crocus

This weekend it finally happened. In glorious sunshine the snow were melting and the flowers of spring, as here these crocuses, were able to develop their full beauty.

During sunny weather the last few days the snow melted very slowly. During our walk we saw strange hill. Whether the moles are probably digging their tunnels and these hills are built by them?
